Requirement

 

Nahanagan Electrical Engineering Services were looking for a solution to manage their data, documents and business processes in one place. They have designed a business process which has helped them achieve ISO and any application must be able to manage this business process.

 

Once deployed all data and documents should be available from one application. Directors and Senior Managers will have access to everything through a remote login to the server or on mobile devices. Engineers will have restricted access based on their job function.

 

As they deal with companies countrywide a major cost on any job is fuel, travel time, and time on site.

 

They needed a mobile app to enable everyone to track their daily activities and distance travelled.

 

The system needed to produce Job costing and Management reports to Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet level.

 

 

Solution

 

Having carried out a detailed systems analysis, designed a brief and carried out a workshop it was determined that Advanced Business Manager Accounting with Advanced Business Manager mobile apps would be the best solution to meet Nahanagan Electrical Engineering Services requirements.

 

We decided on a cost center structure for their job costing ledger. We took their static account and job costing information coupled with outstanding transactions and imported them into Advanced Business Manager Accounting. This data was reconciled with their existing system. We used a copy of this database for training purposes before going live. To facilitate remote login we engaged with their local IT support team who deployed a remote desktop server. We used a copy of this database for training purposes before going live. This allowed remote users log directly onto the server to access or update information.

 

Advanced Business Manager Accounting comes with its own document management solution which enables us to upload, scan documents and attach e-mails. All documents and e-mail folders are available to Directors and senior managers but there is restricted access to what the engineers can see.

 

We deployed the Advanced Business Manager Accounting mobile apps to capture fuel, travel and on-site labour. They can also raise purchase orders while on site and these immediately update the central database.

 

This solution has allowed Nahanagan Electrical Engineering Services manage their ISO requirements in one place.
